sunny day / napsütés
i think our workshop is a funny place... a little retro... i taped the looks i'm aiming for to the wall.
szerintem nagyon vicces hely a műhelyünk, kicsit retró... a terveket felragasztottam a falra.
experiments in striping / csíkozási kísérletek.
homemade striping / saját készítésű csíkozás.
same fabric cut and waiting to be a pair of shorts.
ugyanaz az anyag kiszabva vár a sorsára.
almost / majdnem...
experiments in gauged pleating / ráncolási kísérletek.
toile / próbaing.
silk paints / selyemfestékek.
experiments / kísérletek.
off i go to design the embroidery patterns.
elkezdem megtervezni a hímzésmintákat.
patterns ready for two sleeves / két ujja.
painted / festve.
painted and embroidery pattern transferred.
festve, hímzésminta rámásolva.
embroidering / hímzek.
testing reds / pirospróbák.
detail... i didn't want to make it traditionally dense.
részlet... igazából még ennél is ritkábban akartam hímezni... :)
some really bad photos...
to my biggest disappointment, the machine was set to
taking small photos, so i had no chance to crop or otherwise edit them.
but who cares, their main purpose is to document what i do...
i spent a week at home.
we made very little progress as you can see,
but that's normally how it happens.
rigth now i'm back in budapest because of course
i have other works to do as well.
i'm starting to get a bit panicky now
that there's only two weeks to go
and we have no finished piece yet.
but i know i'll get my act together and everything
will be ready in the last moment.
with a little help from my mommy.
please keep your fingers crossed...
***
Agnes, these are great. I adore that embroidery work and the pattern is superb! Good luck --- you're doing fabulous!

Hello, dear french fan, Victoire! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like it!!! :)
The book is "Kalocsai virágok" by Lengyel Györgyi.
But you can definitely start on your own, too, if you
Google "kalocsai" or "kalocsai hímzés".
Good luck!
