a favorite

love this young hare, an aquarelle by albrecht dürer.
dürer was definitely a fanatic when it came to detail.
just beautiful.

    We had a print of this on the wall at home when I was a kid. I have to agree, it is just beautiful.

    i love this, too! it's in one of my art books - i've always loved how you almost can feel how the fur feels if you touched it...
